1st Annual Acadian Social Club Ice Fishing Tournament

Put your line in the water for the chance to win cash prizes at the Acadian Social Club’s Ice Fishing Derby held at Templeton Fish and Game, January 27 starting at 7:00am.

Pre-register at the Acadien Social Club, or register day-of starting at 6:00am. Pre-registration is recommended. Lines go in the water at 7:00, and the weigh in station will be open all day. Final weigh in is at 3:00; if you’re not in line at 3:00, your fish won’t be counted. A radio leader board will be run on channel 1, so be sure to bring your radio to keep up with it! Bring a bucket! The goal is to do our best to keep all fish alive and release them back into the pond unharmed.

Registration is $20 for adults, and $10 for kids 12 and under.

There will also be a 50/50 raffle, plus lots of other great raffle prizes to win during the day. Templeton Fish and Game will be open for snacks and drinks. Please remember to carry everything you brought in with you back out again. Thank you for doing your part to keep Partridgeville Pond clean.

There are three fish categories to compete in, with a minimum length (tip of mouth to tip of tail) to qualify. The minimum length for Bass is 14″, the minimum for pickerel is 16″, and the minimum for yellow perch is 8″. The cash prizes for each category are $100 for 1st place, $60 for 2nd place, and $40 for 3rd place. Prizes are awarded by weight, and a tie breaker goes to the fish that was weighed first.

In the event that the pond is not adequately frozen by the day of the derby, an alternate derby day has been secured for February 24, at the same time and location.
