Lowbrow Art & Film Festival at Groton Public Library

Celebrate the phenomenon of lowbrow art at the Groton Public Library on Saturday and Sunday, January 10 and 11.
To coincide with the lowbrow art exhibit at the library, the second weekend of January will host events in the art gallery. Lowbrow art challenges the traditional art world with unconventional subjects and ironic references.
On January 10 from 1:00 – 3:00, Mandy Roberge of Wicked Good Tattoos will do drop-in henna tattoos. From 3:00 – 4:30, there will be a screening of “The Lowdown on Lowbrow” with a show and tell from Art Gallery Coordinator Ken Hansen.
On January 11 from 1:00 – 3:30, Mistress Mary will provide drop-in tarot readings. From 3:30 – 4:30, there will be two short films about Édouard Manet.
No registration is required.
