Spring Exhibitions Opening Reception at Fitchburg Art Museum

New exhibitions spring into the Fitchburg Art Museum on February 3 from 2:00 to 4:00pm.

On Her Terms: Feminine Power Embodied features the human body with various inspirations and multi-media. This exhibit includes artwork by Azita Moradkhani, Catherine McCarthy, Claudia Olds Goldie, Lindsey Beal, Maria Yolanda Liebana, Minoo Emami, and Nafis White.

Portrayed by Eakins: Ella Crowell as Model and Student examines the life of Ella Crowell, niece of American artist Thomas Eakins, and the questions of her life and early death.

Ria Brodell: Butch Heroes focuses on archival research of people who were assigned female at birth, but presented masculine and didn’t abide by heterosexual norms. They are re-imagined in the style of Catholic holy cards reflective of the artist’s upbringing.

Registration for the reception includes general museum admission. FAM members get in for free.
