Abraham Ross Organ Concert, Shirley

Come to the Shirley Meeting House on the Common for a concert by Abraham Ross on the Meeting House’s historic Stevens Tracker Organ, November 11, 3:30-6:00pm.

Abraham Ross is an organist, harpsichordist, ensemble director, and music researcher based out of Montreal, QB, Canada. His repertory ranges from the earliest written sources to current-day composers, and his recital programming reflects a deep commitment to diversifying the standard canon of western repertory for his instruments of choice, with the works of neglected and underrepresented composers a regular feature of his work. Ross currently serves on the board of St. John’s Organ Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and appreciation of the historic organ built in 1860 for St. John’s Roman Catholic Church in Bangor, Maine, where he grew up.
