Local Indigenous Culture with Ray LaChance

Ray LaChance of the Abenaki and Mi'kmaq tribes

The Sterling Senior Center hosts Ray LaChance as he presents The Web of Life and Local Indigenous Culture, November 14, 6:30-7:30pm.

Come honor the local history of indigenous people by paricipating in this multidisciplinary, interactive program presented by Ray LaChance of the Abenaki and Mi’kmaq tribes. Learn how the Algonquin Nation Honors the Web of Life with dances, and listen to music played on an indigenous flute and stories from local cultures. There will be games that demonstrate the importance of conservation, and participants will be able to create their own necklace in the style of local indigenous people.

This event will be enjoyable for both children and adults alike.
