NH American Guild of Organists Fall Crawl

The Shirley Meeting House on the common is proud to present their historic organ as part of the NH AGO’s annual Fall Crawl, September 23, 1:00-3:00pm.

Shirley Meeting House’s historic Stevens’ Tracker Organ will be used to play a number of pieces that demonstrated some of the best qualities of the organ. The public is welcome and encouraged to come listen and enjoy.

This historic organ was built in 1847, when Madam Henrietta Whitney donated $1,300 for the installation of a pipe organ manufactured by George Stevens of East Cambridge. With 14 stops and 599 pipes, the organ remains unaltered from its original construction, and can still be hand-pumped!
