Gallery Talk at The Icon Museum and Study Center

Discuss reflections on a current exhibition with Guest Curator Dennis Sardella at the Icon Museum and Study Center in Clinton on April 20, 12:00-1:00pm.

Dennis Sardella will lead a guided tour of the special exhibition, Sacred Presence: Virgin of Kazan, as well as a discussion on the Icon of the Mother of God Kanzankaya, including its iconography, form, spiritual journey, allure, and beauty. The ways it was coopted by political and religious actors through history, up to our modern times, will also be discussed.

After the tour, Sardella will be available to sign copies of his book, Visible Image of the Invisible God, which is available for purchase in the Museum Shop.
