Women in Abolition with Author Mark Bodanza

Local author Mark Bodanza presents a talk on the Role of Woman in the Abolition Movement at the Gardner Museum on September 21 6:30-8p.

The event will start with a museum-hosted reception, and Bodanza’s lecture will begin at 7:00.

Mark Bodanza is a published writer, lecturer, historian, and trial lawyer. Among his published work is a biography of a particularly ardent Leominster abolitionist Frances Drake. She was a conductor on the Underground Railroad, and assisted in the nationally famous rescue of a slave named Shadrach Minkins.

Signed copies of Mark Bodanza’s books will be available for sale.
