Groton Hill Wind Ensemble Winter Concert Sunday, February 2 at 3:00pm.
This special concert features beautiful arrangements of music from Mexico, Venezuela, Panama, Peru, Ecuador, and Puerto Rico, including the world premiere of “El Arte Del Bolero” Suite, arranged by Shimon Gambourg, and commissioned by the Groton Hill Wind Ensemble. This new Suite is derived from music featured in the 2024 Grammy-Winning “Best Latin Jazz” recording of the same title by Miguel Zenón and Luis Perdomo. The rest of the program features 2025 Honors Junior Invitational Students performing two wind masterworks with GHWE students, as well as the debut of the GHWE Percussion Ensemble under the direction of Cesar Garde.
Tickets: $15 including fees | Free for ages 12 and under.
