Among the most intensely admired composers in jazz, the late Wayne Shorter is a true legend. His golden era was marked by the formation of his last groundbreaking quartet with pianist-composer Danilo Pérez, bassist John Patitucci, and drummer Brian Blade in a prolific 24-years of concerts and Grammy-winning recordings. Joined by Mark Turner—one of the most influential saxophonists of his generation—Shorter’s great musical legacy lives on as this quartet performs their own interpretations of Shorter’s compositions.
