Live Music: Groton Hill Flute Orchestra

Beginning with the world premiere of Fanfare for Flute Choir by local composer Stanley M Hoffman, and featuring soprano soloist Lauren Sprague in pieces by J.S. Bach and Michael Davis, conductor Eileen Yarrison will lead the ensemble in music appropriate to the season (Dancing Among Colored Leaves, by Brandon J. Nelson) and favorites from the ensemble’s rich history, including Blue Train by Ryohei Hirose. This is a family-friendly concert.

The ensemble marks its 40th year and conductor Eileen Yarrison celebrates her 25th year as artistic director and conductor. The group is comprised of semi-professional and professional flutists who perform at Groton Hill and throughout the community.
