August 1 @ 7:00 pm - 8:15 pm

Sea-Glass

History of Beachcombing and Sea Glass with Roxie Zwicker at the Groton Public Library on Thursday, August 1 from 7:00—8:15pm.

The lure of beachcombing and treasure hunting on New England beaches has been around almost as long as the European settlement itself. Author Roxie Zwicker takes you on a journey uncovering the history and lore of sea glass and beach pottery. These tumbled treasures are a connection to the region’s past; from shipwrecks, maritime mysteries to long lost seaside amusements. Discover the best places and techniques to look for artifacts as well as clues to help identify them, as each piece is a connection to the past with a story to tell.

Made possible by the Groton Public Library Endowment Trust.
