Organist Randy Steere debuts Groton Hills Music Center’s new, state-of-the-art digital organ on March 25. as part of the Vista Philharmonic Orchestra; Fleet Feat concert.
The facility’s new digital organ that uses sampling technology to recreate the sound of virtually any instrument around the world. Samuel Barber’s Toccata Festiva and Camille Saint-Saëns’ Third Symphony will display all of Randy’s – and the organ’s – talents!
Acclaimed for his solo appearances throughout New England, Randy was Assistant Organist at Old South Church and holds an MM from Yale School of Music and Institute of Sacred Music. Among his many professional endeavors, he taught organ performance, handbells, and church music classes at Barrington College (now Gordon College), and was also president of his own consulting and software company for 20 years.
