Sea Songs and Stories at the Gardner Museum

Singer and storyteller Davis Bates presents an evening of folk songs and oral history narratives at the Gardner Museum 6:30-8p Sept 14.
Davis Bates educates, entertains, and creates feelings of community with shanties and farming songs, ocean ballads, traditional
tales, oral history narratives and stories!

Davis Bates’ performances are a mixture of family, Native American, international and regional songs and stories. They speak of empowerment, history, spirit and the environment. More info about Bates and his practice can be found at https://davisbates.com/.
The evening will start with a reception at 6:30pm, and Bates will begin at 7:00. This program is funded in part by a donation from the Ryan Jones Heart of a Hero Foundation.
