Authors’ Voices Speaker Series: Libby Maxey at the New Dawn Arts Center

Award-winning poet and editor Libby Maxey will speak at the New Dawn Arts Center in Ashburnham, November 28, 6:00-7:00pm.

This free event will start with a reading of Maxey’s work, followed by a Q and A session. The end of the event will transition to the regularly scheduled Writers’ Group Open Mic Night. All are welcome to attend.

Libby Maxey’s poems have appeared publications including Emrys, Crannóg, The Maynard, and more. Her accolades include the Princemere Poetry Prize, winner of the Helen Schaible International Sonnet Contest, and the Laureate’s Choice prize in the Maria W. Faust Sonnet Contest. Her poetry chapbook (Kairos, published in 2019) won the Finishing Line Press New Women’s Voices Contest. Currently, she is a senior editor and poetry editory for the online journal Literary Mama, which she has been a staff member of since 2012.
